  5. The file AUS_VIC4.BGL contains all airports and navaids for the states
  6. of Victoria and Tasmania, Australia.
  7. Scenery is for FS5.0a. Copy the file into your FS5 Scenery directory,
  8. then call up the World / Airports Directory to use this scenery.

  17. Purpose
  18. =======
  19.  
  20. The scenery allows IFR flight throughout Victoria, and across Bass Strait
  21. to Tasmania. It also allows easy and automatic scenery selection when
  22. flying from Victoria to New South Wales (Tom Monnone's NSW scenery) and
  23. on to Queensland (Ron McKeirnan's QLD scenery).

  25. Limitations

  28. The scenery contains all public airports in the States of Victoria and
  29. Tasmania, with all navigation aids. Where NDB and DME and used together,
  30. (without VOR), "phantom" VORs have been used to provide the DME in the
  31. NAV2 DME slot, with the ADF dial taking the place of NAV2.

  33. The FS5 coastal outline of Australia is very approximate and inaccurate.
  34. At several coastal locations you will find runways floating in the ocean!
  35. I have left them there since they provide coordinate accuracy.
  36. This problem should disappear with the next version of the scenery,
  37. and you can look forward to seeing some real scenery, including city
  38. buildings, hills, rural areas, etc.

  40. In this version the entire continent is flat - Altitude Zero.
  41. This should also be corrected in future versions.
